Info & Tips

  1. Vacuum your home regularly, particularly in high-traffic areas such as hallways, the living room and kitchen areas.  This will keep dirt and grime to a minimum.
  2. Have your rug cleaned professionally on a regular basis – it’s the best way to eradicate built-up dirt and grime trapped deep inside its fibers.
  3. If you have pets, they will be shedding fur on your carpets and rugs, so bathe them regularly to keep them clean.
  4. Place doormats in your entrance and hallway, to collect soil.
  5. If you spill something on your rug, act immediately!  Use paper towels to mop up as much of the liquid as you can. If you see a stain appear, do not rub at it – this will only worsen the situation.  Instead, dab at it and then blot it lightly.
  6. When cleaning your carpet or rug yourself, always make sure to use environmentally-friendly, organic products. They help protect the planet, and also keep you, your children and your pets safe.
  7. Clean the fringe of your rug by hand, brushing the fringe in its natural direction to avoid tearing it.
  8. If you see a tear or hole in your rug, call a professional immediately!  The longer you delay, the worse the problem is going to become.
  9. When cleaning a rug at home, spot test it first. Dab a tiny amount of the cleaning solution onto an inconspicuous part of the rug. After half an hour, if the colors have not bled, you can proceed.
  10. Keep your rug out of direct sunlight - this is guaranteed to make it fade very quickly.
